Digsby is a useful messenger client that support many services such as Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live ( MSN ), AIM ( AOL ), Facebook etc. It is also a Email Client and Twitter Client.
In this article, I am describing how disable auto updating of digsby. of course it is not recommended to disable this. with auto update you’ll automatically receive new features, and bug fixes and security patches.
Anyway, if you get annoyed by it, auto updating, just in moment you need it! ( because digsby start updating at startup! ), here is a simple Trick to turn it off.
Open Directory where you installed digsby.
mine is C:\Program Files\Digsby\
Open Libs folder.
find AutoUpdate folder.
rename it to something else, AutoUpdateDisabled for example.
Now, you can enjoy digsby without auto update nag.
You can manually download and install latest updates from their site.
If you want turn On auto update, just rename folder name back to AutoUpdate
